DK's Presentation Facts
No one wants to hear your presentation!
Except your mother...maybe.
Every audience wants an experience that provides them with something new... a new perspective, a new possibility - something they can use.
So ask yourself:
What do you want your audience to think, feel or do differently after your presentation than they did before it?
The most powerful moment is before you start speaking.
You step out on stage. All eyes are on you. There is an air of expectation. Everyone in the room wants you to be successful. Everyone is hopeful. You can actually feel the audience's attention. This is what fuels performers. it's why they say presentations are dialogues.
Before you speak, allow yourself to take in the audience's energy. Connect to it and it can fuel your own. Stay connected to it and you'll transform your presentation.
People won't remember what you said -
They'll remember how you
made them feel.
It is shocking how little an audience will remember of what is said. It is equally surprising how long they will remember how you make them feel.
Audiences respond to presenters they trust. How can you win that trust?
Be relaxed, natural and authentically you.
Discover your true voice and stay there.
